The Australian Pairs Tournament format allows each person on a team to play both the Lead and Skip positions. In the first end the Leads play two bowls, Skips play all of their bowls and the Leads finish with their remaining bowls. In the next end the positions are reversed with Skips playing two bowls, Leads four and Skips two. This alternating pattern continues throughout the game.

Teams are randomly selected with more experienced players assigned as Skips and other players blindly selecting a score card to complete the team as Leads. Winners are decided by a points system, 2 points for a win, 1 point  for a draw. A Bye is considered a win. In the event of a tie a points differential will be used to determine the winner. We will play 3 10-end games.

The cost is $10 a person and the proceeds will be distributed to the first three place winners. Bring correct change! Please arrive at 9:45 to help with set up. We will play in light rain but not during a thunderstorm so bring an umbrella or jacket if showers are expected. The event will be canceled one hour before the start if the weather makes the greens unplayable.

See you on the greens.
